In some regions of Ukraine, grain harvest has surpassed the results of 2024. Let’s talk about Vinnytsia today.
Autumn fieldwork in Ukraine is coming to an end. As of November 28, in the Vinnytsia region, farmers have already harvested grain and leguminous crops from 731,000 hectares. The average yield stands at 6.34 t/ha, which is noticeably higher than last year, according to the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
As of that date, about 46,000 hectares of corn for grain remained unharvested. This crop has also shown better results: the current yield has reached 7.52 t/ha, exceeding last year’s figures.
The sugar beet harvest has been completed. Around 2 million tons of root crops have been dug up. Its average yield amounts to 45.34 t/ha, which is also higher compared to the previous year. All sugar factories in the region are operating normally. Since the beginning of the season, about 1.6 million tons of raw materials have been processed, producing 230,000 tons of sugar.
Winter grain crops for the 2026 harvest have been sown on 303,000 hectares. Winter rapeseed has been sown on 110,000 hectares. Thanks to the warm weather, especially in October and November, farmers were able to extend the sowing period. Rainfall in September and October helped winter crops form the necessary growth stages, which should have a positive effect on overwintering.
